Tax Exemption Donation Faqs

Are donations to tax-exempt?

Yes, all donations to are 50% exempt from tax under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. The tax exemption applies only in India.

Sakha International Trust issue receipts upon receiving the donation by email or what’s app ( we don’t issue computerised receipt).

Any amount of contribution is eligible for tax benefits under Section 80G.

The tax exemption limit is subject to the provisions of Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Please refer to the applicable terms and conditions for claiming deductions.

Cash donations in any denomination are not exempted. However, all donations made to Sightsavers are eligible for a 50% tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.

Form No.10BE is issued by Income Tax department in standard format after end of the Financial Year as per sub-rule (6) & (8) of Rule 18AB of Income Tax Rules.

Non-Resident Indian (NRI) donors who are Indian citizens holding an Indian passport are eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Please provide your Indian PAN Card Number while making an online donation.

Any (individual/organisation) can donate their money towards a social cause can claim exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.
